9/27/2023- White Mountain Rd., Silver Canyon Rd., and Patriarch Grove Rd. are open. Wyman Canyon Rd. remains closed. These are USFS roads, to stay updated visited their site HERE.

Our historical winter has made opening the upper sites for the 2023 season challenging. Our crew experienced 15 foot snow drifts in areas such as Big Prospector Meadow and Sheep’s Pass is only passable by Sno-Cat. Access to Barcroft Station and the Summit of White Mountain Peak is limited.

Barcroft will open in early August.

The USFS- Inyo National Forrest issued new road closures on June 15th that now includes White Mountain Road just beyond Patriarch Grove. This order will be in effect until September 30th, 2023. We do not know if it will be lifted sooner, please respect these closures. The road closure can be viewed HERE.
